About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

from YVR to INC then to CAN, entry permit needed?

Flying April 14 YVR to INC then April 15 flying INC to CAN (Guangzhou) arriving 1205am April 16. Then Guangzhou to Manila on April 19 at 130am. Do I need a Chinese visa? Or 72 transit permit is okay? On the way back April 22 MNL to CAN, then take train on April 25 CAN to HongKong then April 28 HKG to YVR. Do I need a Chinese entry permit again?

You need the entry permit on both way to Guangzhou and back to Canada. You can try to apply for a double entry G type by providing your flight tickets.
