About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

USA-Japan-Hong Kong-Shanghai to board Cuuise ship to Korea

If we spend two days in Japan, two days in Hong Kong and two days in Shanghai before boarding the cruise ship in Shanghai, can we use this 72-hour visa free transit rule?

Hi Lee, as the 72 hour free entry is only open to airports, so you are not eligible for it. However, if your stay is not more than 24 hours, you can make use of the 24 hour free transit policy. It is said that the 24 hours start from the following midnight after your arrival.
