visa extension in macau

Hi lynn,
From ur previous reply i want to ask u about my situation. my situation here is that I want to extend two weeks here in Macau. I have used up my 50 day entry permit and my last day is on this Saturday. My reason that I want to stay is because my boyfriend work in Macau and he has a blue card. As I really want to stay here with him for my last two weeks before I have to go back to Australia. I Have prepared my information for extention but I'm just worried that immigration will not approve because he is just my boyfriend not married couples. Do u think you can tell me what u think about my case. And also with the process of extention, will they tell me on the spot or they will further contact me?

Joanne, I think Australian passport holders can stay 30 days in Macau without the need for entry permit, so I'm wondering why you have 50 day entry permit? Did you apply for it? Anyway, you can try to extend the entry permit at the immigration office, maybe by providing your boyfriend's work permit and ID card. They will further contact you whether your application for the extension is approved or you can check the processing status online. If it can't be extended, you are suggested to go to Hong Kong and then back to Macau. In this case, you can enjoy another 30 day free entry.

I have ready used my 50 days. I always go to mainland China, thus I thought they will give me 30 days visa again. But unfortuntantly it's they won't. I have visited hongkong last month but my visa has not been refresh

Joanne, Australians enjoy 30 days free stay in Macau. You shouldn't have had a problem when you get back from HK. Did they stop you when you went through the immigration department?
