M type visa with some travel

Hello everyone,

I am planning to ask my trade partner to issue me with a letter of invitation for the purposes of the M type application. However, I would also like to spend a few days travelling in China. My flight lands in Chengdu, where I would like to spend a few days (as a tourist) and then meet my partner in Xiamen for business. Would the Chinese authorities still consider it to be an M type?
