About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Is this possible on a 24 hr visa free transit permission?

I will be travelling from Bangkok to San Francisco with a stopover in Wuhan for 13 hours. I would like to leave the airport during this time. And if so, do I need to apply for anything in advance or can I just do it at the airport?

Paddy, you needn't apply anything in advance because you enjoy 24 hours free transit. You just need to apply for a stay permit when you arrive. Then you can exit the airport to have a short visit.
