About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

Are we eligible to apply for a "Group VISA"?

Hi,
I will be traveling to Beijing - 4 family members in total. Is it $40 each or $40 in total? If we are looking for Regular Service, would this be $31.50 for each one? Do we need to take an eligible picture to send through? If so, can you provide details?

We plan to leave from Canada on April 12, 2015 to head to Beijing...when would we receive them? Just want to ensure we get it in time.

Thanks!

Jennifer, group one is usually issued to those who have tours in mainland China arranged by qualified travel agencies. If you just travel on your own, you should apply for single L type for every of you. You should submit your application to the CVASC branch in your area. The cost is 92 Canadian dollars. 50 is charged by the embassy and 42 is charged a service fee by the CVASC branch.

Usually, you just need to submit your application around a month in advance ahead of your trip. It takes four working days to deal with your application.

Jennifer, I don't know where you are from. The CVASC branches in Canada charge so differently. You may tell which state/province you come and then I can find out the cost for you.

Then, a single entry one costs 92 in total. 50 is charged by the embassy. 42 is charged as service fee by the CVASC branch in Vancouver.
