what is the purpose of supplementary form?

i'm getting a M/F visa but what is the purpose of the supplementary form since i read that some of the people who go to china give supplementary form to the embassy? please answer me.

Luke, you just need to sign an application form now. If you apply for the first time, you should provide your personal financial statement, employment or study proof, recent six months bank statement, bir-stamped tax return form or professional ID.

this is not my first time going to china. i was given before a Z type. my new employer apply a working entry permit for me but the bureau told them that they cannot issue a Z type since i'm not a native speaker to teach. that's why we decided to get a M/F type for me to go to china and process my Z type and when i can get it. i need to go home again.

please tell me what is the best thing to do. thanks

If it's not the first time you come to China, the financial statement is not required. Instead, you need to provide the photoocpy of your previously granted Chinese entry permit. Do you say you are going to China on M/F type and then applying for the Z type within China? I'm not sure whether you can succeed in doing it, but you can have a try.

Luke, air tickets are not required if you apply for M or F type. However, the invitation letter from duly authorized Chinese unit or a letter of confirmation is required except for the invitation letter from Chinese organization or partner.

Luke, it is usually issued by municiple or provincial foreign affairs office.
