About:China Customs Declaration

What is my allowance that I can bring back to China? I am a resident of Shanghai.

I have been living in Canada as a student. how much shopping can I bring back to China. I am thinking about bringing back an iphone.

I will be going home for a 2 week holiday and returning to Canada to go back to school.

Shirley, are you a Chinese? If so, you can take things that are worth within CNY 5000 in total. For foreigners, they can take only as much as CNY 2000 things in total. Rule is rule. In fact, many people break the rule and take more things back into mainland China.

It's ok for you to bring one iphone into China. You will be required to pay the tax for the second one.
