About:Shanghai Maglev Train

How long it takes from Maglev train to Long Longyang Road Station, Shanghai?

Question1: How long it takes from Maglev train to Long Longyang Road Station. What is ticket prices? I heard there is if we purchase this ticket. We are also given free metro access within city for 24 hours. Is that true?

Question2: And how long it takes from Line 2 pudong airport to Peoples Square? I have to reach at Laoximen Station in no more than 2 hours. Once I reach at peoples square I can take another metro Line that leads me to Laoximen. How much time approximate it will take?

Question3: How much taxi costs directly from airport to Laoximen and how much time it takes?


What is efficient and reasonable choice?

1. SMT runs for around 8min from PVG to Longyang Road station. The single trip ticket costs CNY50. There is a combo ticket: SMT Single Trip + Metro One-day Pass. It costs CNY55 and you can have a single trip ride on the train and unlimited travels on metro within 24h. So yes, you can think it of as free rides on metro.

2. It takes 60-65min for this journey. It is very easy to transfer to line 8 at People's Square and it takes no more than 10min to get to Laoximen.

3. The cab fare from PVG to Laoximen is CNY170-180 and it takes 50-60min. I would suggest you use the first means of transportation.
