About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Obtaning transit visa for 72h without the help of airline, possible?

Hello,

thank you very much for answering my question the last time (Jan. 27th 20:42, subject:Tokyo- Shanghai - Munich). However I don't know which airline I should contact? Macau Airline, which I will use to arrive in Shanghai or Turkish Airline, the airline I will use to depart from Shanghai.

Is it also possible to get the 72h free transit without the help of the airline? If yes, it is more complicated than with the help of the airline? What are the procedures to get the free transit without the declaration of the airline?

Thank you very much for answering in advance and best regards

You should contact the Macau airline. Only in Beijing airport can you get the free transit on spot at the airport without the help of airlines. So you need to turn to your airline to declare it for you.

Hello,

thank you for answering my question from last time. can I declare the 72h transit visa on my own or do i really have to contact the airline. If I can declare it on my own, will it be much more complicated than with the airline?

I will arrive in Shanghai with Macau airline and leave Shanghai with Turkish Airline. If the airline has to declare it, which airline should I contact?

Thank you very much for answering in advance.

Jenny, you should inform your Macau Airline. In fact, you just need to inform the flight attendants around 30 minutes before the airplane lands. Then the flight attendants will inform the airport in advance.
