Overstayed last year, can i get a working visa now?

Hi there,

I overstayed my tourist visa with 5 days in October last year, 2014. I'm then back to my home-contry Sweden but I'm about to get a job in Shanghai. I was just wondering do you know if this will have an impact on my working entry permit application? It shouldn't be a problem right? I have a new passport if that'll do any difference.

Cheers!

Hi Mikael! I think it will have an impact more or less. However, since your overstaying problem is not so severe, it won't have too much impact. I suugest you go about applying for the Z type without the need to apply for a new passport.
