Can British citizens get a Chinese Visa in New Delhi?

We are unable to get a Chinese entry permit here in Mauritius and are on a long trip not returning to UK until July. We fly to Delhi on Jan 24th and are travelling around India and Sri Lanka. We are booked on a tour beginning in Beijiing on March 14th. We are concerned that we will need our passports for hotels and interior flights. Do you have a same day service?

Yes, you can apply it in the CVASC center in New Delhi. In addition to the basic documents, you need to provide the original and photocopy of your entry permit for India, and a statement issued by the UK embassy or consulate in India. The center doesn't offer same-day service and the fastest service takes two working days (including the day you submit the application).
