About:Telephone & Cellphone in China

is there any advantage in going to either China Mobile or China Unicom?

When buying SIM card in China, if my phone supports GSM only (that is go to China Mobile) and also supports GSM + WCDMA (that is go to China Unicom), Thank you.

Robert, you should use China Unicom's simcard. GSM is too slow. WCDMA is faster if you use your phone to browse pages on the internet.

Thank you. I forgot to add that I will be using the SIM card mostly in western Sichuan that is west of Chengdu. Which is better in rural locations?
