About:Dress Code in China

Day time dress code

1. Is it suitable to wear sun tops when touring sites such as The Great Wall in Beijing in May?
2. Is it suitable to wear skirt or capri trousers when touring sites such as The Great Wall in Beijing in May?
3. Is it suitable to wear sandals when touring sites such as The Great Wall in Beijing in May?
4. Do religious sites have a very different dress code. ?

Ann, it's ok to wear sun tops when you visit the wall. However, I think you should wear your trousers rather than a skirt when you go there. Also sandals should be avoided too. Some parts of the paved road on the wall is steep. It's inconvenient for you to climb if you wear a skirt and a pair of sandals. Sneakers or sports shoes are recommended. And it's a bit hot when you go there. If you wear sun tops, you may bring your sun screen cream too.

Well, there is no strict dress requirement at the religious sites. But I think you may not wear low-cut dress. You know, those who go to the religious sites are conservative and pious.
