We are an American family traveling in Paris. It looks from this website that a Chinese consulate would possibly approve such an application.  How much time and funds should I expect to spend for a tourist type for our family of six (kids ages 12, 10, 10, 10).  Is there an English-speaking phone number or agency to call with questions?Thank you very much for your consideration.

In fact, you should submit the application to the CVASC agency in France instead of the embassy or consulate. The normal processing takes about four working days and the application fee for each L type is 150 euros. You can get contact with the CVASC by calling 0140700401.
