I want to quit my job without finishing my contract, and my boss agreed to that. She cancelled my work type without changing it to a tourist type. I have a ticket flight on sunday. I'm worried the airline will not admit me to go inside, because I don't have visa anymore. But the boss said I have to leave within 7 days.

Ryan, I don't think you will have trouble in returning to your home. It's true that your employer cancels your work permit. However, your resident permit is still valid. You can still use that to exit mainland China.
