About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

i'm booking a flight from chicago, us -shangai- hong kong

i'm only staying in shangai for 4 hrs. do i need a visa when my final destination is hong kong? do i qualify for the 72 hrs visa free transit?

Yes, you qualify for the 72 hour free transit facility and you don't need the transit type.
