About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Canadian citizen, 72 hr free transit

Hi there

I am flying to Hong Kong from Canada and will be in Hong Kong for 2 nights then onwards to Shanghai for 2 nights then back to Canada. Would I be able to avail of this 72 hr transit visa given that I land in Shanghai from Hong Kong and my destination post Shanghai is not Hong Kong or does my destination post Shanghai need to be a country other than the country of my passport, in this case Canada?

Your destination post Shanghai needn't to be a country other than Canada, therefore, you are able to avail of the 72 hour free transit.
