What is the best time for F visa extension

My F type is from 1 st Feb to 26th Feb'2015, so I need to apply a week before for extension. If I consider Chinese New Year, what's the best time to apply for it so I can enjoy the festival in China. Thanks.

As the Spring Festival Holiday starts from February 18 to 24, I suggest you apply for the extension on February 11 or 12.
