About:Visa Policy of China

What is the best way to obtain a one day Visa to shop in China when visiting Hong Kong?

I am visiting a friend in Hong Kong and she mentioned a 1 day "shopping" trip to China!
I am American traveling from the US!

I think the best way for you is to fly from the US to mainland China and meet your friends there. Then you can have a one day shopping and go back to Hong Kong. In this case, no entry permit is required as you are eligible for the 72 hour free transit. If you need to first go to Hong Kong, you can go Shenzhen with your friends and obtain the VOA at Luo Hu port or other ports.
