I'm a Canadian passport holder, can I apply china visa from LouWu port of entry?

I'm a canadian passport that will look to enter Shenzhen via Hong Kong. instead of getting one here in Canada, I was told I can just get the 5 days entry there as I will only be staying 4 days and 3 nights?
