from xian to guilin

Question

We want to travel on the way to Guilin to Yunan (Lijiang, Shangrila) and Sechuan (Chengdu, Leshan, Emeishan). can anyone suggest how to get to these places, where to go first (Yunan or Sechuan), where to go? Thanks. Judith

I suggest you go to Sichuan first, because it is much closer. Fly to Chengdu. Then take direct buses to Leshan and Emeishan for a visit. After that, get back to Chengdu city to fly for Shangri-la. Then the following route shall be Shangri-la to Lijiang by bus - to Kunming by bus - fly to Guilin.
