About:Mount Huashan

Hi, is it possible to get from Xi'an to HuaShan, do a hike and return to downtown in one day?

If so, what routes can we take?
How long does it take to bus/train from downtown to the mountain?
How long does the hike take?

Thanks :)

I suggest you take a bus from the east square of XA Railway station to the destination directly. And the bus ride is about 2.5 hours.

The bus will take you to the foot of the mountain. Then you can hike around 15min to the main entrance of the mountain. A deeply hike follows the route: North Peak-East Peak-South Peak- West Peak. The hike often takes about 5 - 6 hours.

Generally, one day is too tight to hike up and down. I would suggest you take cable car up to the west peak. Then have a view of the mountain and hike down afterwards.
