About:Chinese Zodiac

What is my feng shui element??

I am trying to find out my feng shui birth element but I keep finding conflicting answers of wood and fire. While I find myself more inspired by the colors for the fire element, I would hate to redecorate in reds and purples if I am in fact wood. My birth date is October 21 1985. Can anyone clear this up for me? And why do I keep receiving conflicting information?
