I see. Both of you need to apply for China visa and it can be finished at the Office of The Commissioner of The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of PRC in Hong Kong.

You have to prepare all requied documents and your husband is regarded as permanent resident in Hk, so he can present the original Hong Kong ID Card and also copy of the aforementioned ID card in addition to his original passport and other required documents. Generally, it takes 4 workdays to process.

If you apply for visas in your own country, go to Chinese embassy or consulate and show all required documents.
