Via HSR, will it be better to go to Chendu or Wuhan. We would like to see places along the way...Guiyang/Changsha, etc. Which route is faster,and which places are more interesting?

You can go from Guilin to Changsha first and then form Changsha to Yueyang (if you like to visit there) and then go to Wuhan. Changsha have some historical sits and Yueyang are famous the Dongting Lake and the Yueyang Tower. You can think about this option.
