About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Does a 72 hour transit visa cover me?

Flying from Sydney to Guangzhou, then flying to Shanghai, staying at a hotel in Shanghai on 24th April 2015, Departing on a cruise ship from Shanghai on 25th April 2015, on an Australian passport; do I qualify for the 72 hours free transit please

I'm afraid you cannot enjoy the 72-hour free transit as the policy is only available in eligible airports and you cannot leave a city for another (except in Canton) when making use of the policy. If your stay in China is no more than 24 hours (calculated from the following midnight upon your arrival), you can avail yourself of the 24 hour free transit.
