About:China Transit Visa

Beijing Transit Tour from US to PH. Do I need to apply for a G type visa?

Hi,
I have a 15 hour layover in Beijing on April 2015 from USA to Philippines. I have a green card and a Philippine passport. I want to do a city tour while transiting.

No, you don't need one, as you can make use of the 24 hour free transit. BTW, to leave the airport, you need to apply for stay permit at the airport.
