Since you already have an invitation letter, the tickets are not necessary. If you are able to provide, you can also provide to make the application easier. BTW, you still need to prepare your travel plan and your personal statement for the application besides the documents you mentioned.

It won't work in principle. However, I think you can ask the unit to issue you an invitation letter for the purpose of visit instead of business, only in this way the invitation letter may work.

my invitation letter already contains the statement saying the purpose of my stay in china with the duration of stay, the location and planning, for example "he/she will be staying at my home in china in ***** location, for **** duration of period inorder to celebrate the spring festival"
since the travel plan has been mentioned already do i still need to provide a separate travel plan or travel itenerary?

I think you don't need one, the invitation letter will be enough.

My dad will be funding me for my travel to china, so basically i need to provide his bank statement. and i guess i have to provide a letter as well mentioning that my parents will be financially supporting me. Instead of producing an extra letter mentioning that my dad will support me financially, can i let the bank manager himself mention that my parents will be financing my trip in the bank statement?
