i'm in xianneed to exit mainland. i'm going to hong kongwill fly back to xian

Does that break my current stay and can I fly back in to Xian and not have to go to Shanghai or another international entry port? I US citizen.

Your trip to will break your current stay. If you current hold a single entry permit, you need to apply for a new one to enter China. From HK to Xian, there are direct flight, so you do not need to fly to Shanghai or another port and then transfer to Xian.

I'm in Xian and need to exit mainland. I'm going to Hong Kong and will fly back to Xian
