Regarding of my Z visa application

I have been in China for past 8yrs and am facing a situation whereby the company is asking myself to take unpaid leave to fly back to singapore to apply for Z type, including air tickets, expenses etc.
As far as i know of, my last 2 companies owned the repsonsibility of settling it which includes the flight, processing fees and other expense incurred (traveling).
I felt being "rape" by such rule of the company invited me and employ me but on settling this myself all under my own.
There is even a flow chart on the procedure that i need to go back to do it but the company still consider it personal issue, i felt cheated.

Is there any law, rule or regulation stating that this should be a company affair for my travel back to settle this issue and not personal?

Hi, Aaron. It is pity that there is no such kind of law as far as I know.
According to my experience, few companies will pay for the fee for employer to go back home to make the Z type application. I always paid myself for the application.
