can i just get Chinese visa from Ukraine? in odessa? or i must go back to US to apply from there?

hi, i used to be a Chinese citizen, but i became to a US citizen and hold US passport since since 2008, currently i am traveling Ukraine and i am in Odessa, Ukraine now , and i am just wondering if i want to go to shanghai, china for a short tourism trip after Ukraine trip.
