Us Citizen in Sydney needing a tourist visa to visit China

I am a US citizen in Sydney and need to know if I can apply for a L type to visit China in Sydney.

Yes, Steve, you can apply for a L type in Sydney.

Prepare the following materials before your application: your valid passport and the photocopy of its data page, the filled application form and a recent-taken color photo, stay permit in Australia, round-trip tickets and hotel reservation records or an invitation letter from an unit or individual in China.
