can we climb the great wall and pls advise which area to book hotel or hostel near to great wall? thank you.

Susie, you need to decide which section you are going to visit, Badaling, Jinshanling, Simatai or Mutianyu. In fact, one day tour is enough for you to visit the wall. You needn't stay there for a night. I personally think that you may visit Simatai section. It keeps the orginal appearance and has been reopened not long ago after renovation. There are some new hotels. You can make a call at 86-10-81009999 to ask for details and perhaps book a room there. It's summer time in June. It's sunny almost all of the time. However, it might be a bit hot. You'd better bring your sunglasses, sunscreen and hat to prevent from the strong sunshine.
