i would like to enter china with flight and exit to mongolia by bus/train

i know that to be able to get a visa to china you need to show enter and exit flight ticket.
how can i get one if i want to exit by land transport so i'll be able to show only entering flight ticket?

Dave, you may find someone to send you an invitation letter. If you have the invitation letter, hotel booking and round-trip air tickets won't be required.

I'm going to china as a tourist so i don't know anyone there to send me an invatation. Is there any other way i can get the ivatation?

Do you have any foreign or Chinese friends? They can send you the invitation letter. If not, you may ask some agencies who can send you this invitation letter. Of course, you need to pay them service charge.
