About:Chinese Consulate in Melbourne

I'm from the Netherlands and here in Australia as a backpacker on a work&holiday visa.

Question 1: I want to apply for a L type for China mainland and ending the 3 week trip in Hong Kong (flying back to Melbourne from Hong Kong). Do I need a single entry or two entry one?

Question 2:
I saw this: If you are not applying in the country of your citizenship, you must provide the original and photocopy of your valid certificates of residence, employment or student status, or other valid certificates of legal stay provided by the relevant authorities of the country where the CVASC is located.

This applies to my situation. But I do not understand what I need to show, as my work&holiday type is not a document that I have.

Hopefully you can help me this this.

Ingrid, a single entry L type is ok because you are exempted from visa for your stay in HK. Your visa for work and holiday can be taken as valid certificates of residence. However, I still think that you may contact CVASC branch that has jurisdiction of your area to confirm this before you go there to submit your application.
