About:Exit Regulations of China

How to exit China without a Visa? No longer employeed by company who provided initial visa.

My passport was stolen and I followed all the procedures of replacing it. I went to the PSB and received the paper of a lost passport, registered at the local police. Now my problem is getting my old M visa onto my new passport. I do not have any copies of my old visa and I no longer work for the company who issued my original visa. My visa was valid until mid February. I would like to stay here until that time, (I would love to experience Chinese New Year.) Should I stop worrying and wait 5 days before I exit China in February? What do you suggest? Thanks for your help.

Have you got your new passport? After you get the new passport, you need to go to the local Exit-Entry Adminstration Bureau for applying a new visa as soon as possible, so that you can stay in China legally. If you do not get that, it may bring some troubles if your passport is required to check.

Usually, the exit-entry adminstration bureau will consider to issue you a L or F type with validity around 30 days to stay in China.

Yeah. New passport received and already registered with the local police. I just want to stay here until spring festival. My initial visa expired February 15 and I wish to stay to that day. I can't believe the PSB doesn't have a copy of the old visa...or anyone in china has a copy of the visa on my original passport. I guess it's my fault for not making a copy. Hopefully they can issue me a 60 day tourist visa within China. Thank you for your response, trying to find out any information I can about my situation.
