About:Chinese Embassy in Egypt

Applying for a work visa to China

Hello, I hold an Egyptian passport. I am a EFL instructor (English as a foreign language) and I'm applying for a Work Z. I'll break down my question into smaller ones, if any or all of them could be answered that would be great:

- Which documents are exactly needed for the Z type in my case? (aside from the application form and two pictures)
- Does the invitation letter have to be the original one or is a scanned printout acceptable?
- Is a "medical check form" required? If so, where can I get that form (I can't find anywhere on the embassy's website)?
- What are the procedures to set up an appointment for the application process?

Thanks in advance, I have made efforts to contact the embassy and to search its website but with no redeeming results.

1. Materials required: your passport with a validity of more than 6 months and blank pages; a photocopy of the passport data page; work permit issued by human resource and social security department; invitation letter provided by the duty authorized agency.

2. The invitation letter can be a printout or scanned one, however, the official may ask you to present the original letter. So you are suggested to prepare the original one.

3. Have you got the work permit? If not, then a medical check form is required in the permit application.

4. You don't need to make any appointment with the embassy.

Thank you for your help. I do not have a work permit yet, I suppose what you mean is that my employer will need the medical check form to apply for my work permit in China.

I have searched the embassy's website for all its downloadable files (both in English & Arabic), but I can't seem to find that document at all. Another unusual thing was that the application form on their website seems more outdated (version 2012) than the downloadable one (version 2013) in this website here.

Any ideas on where I can get that medical form?

If so, you can use the application form on this website. I used it once and it is the latest version.

If there is no such form online, you can just go to a local public hospital to get a proof that you are healthy. Then the proof can be used for applying the work permit. No formal medical report is OK.
