About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I apply for the 72 hour free visa pass?

Hi, I am an American citizen traveling to Japan from Singapore with a stop at Shanghai when I go back to Singapore I will leave from japan to Singapore and I am making a stop (layover) for 2 days, form January 2 to the 4 of January in Shanghai.

Please do not worry. Since you will only stay in Shanghai for less than 2 days, you are able to enjoy the 72-hour free transit. Remember to inform the airline that you want to enjoy this policy when boarding.
