For working and studying, the types are different. A work Z type is required for working in China and a Student X type is required for students in China.

If you have Z type, you can change it to a resident permit after entering China. Then you can enter and re-enter multiple times in its validity. If you have a Student X1, you can also change it to a resident permit to enter and re-enter. If you have a Student X2, the entry times will be printed on the X2.

For applying a Work Z, the application fee is 5000 naira.
