Temporary Stay for non-transit at Shanghai Pudong Airport

Hi, my flight arrives at 12.30 am in the morning and i have to wait for a friend to arrive at 9am in the morning is it still possible to stay at the hourly hotel if I leave the immigration area and enter the arrivals hall? Or is there any other cheap options?
