About:Marriage Registration in China

To marry with a Chinese girl.

I am a foreigner and I plan to marry a Chinese girl. One of the qualifications is Marriage duration which is 5 years. I need to know can it be less? 3 years?

Did you just want to marry her and register your marriage in China or you plan to apply for a permanent resident permt for family reunion? If you just want to marry her and register your marrage in China, a single-entry L type is enough for you. If you talk about permanent resident permit for family reunion, I am afraid that you have very slight chance to have it. According to what I know, just around 200 foreigners successfully applied the permanent resident permits. Although you have all required documents, you still have slight chance of getting it.

Well, you can marry a Chinese and try to apply permanent resident permit for family reunion. However, you may have a slight chance to get the permanent resident permit even though you meet all the requirements. You know, just around 200 foreigners can be granted with permanent resident permits every year. You can see how difficult it is to apply for one.

Hi, Thanks so much for your information. I want to stay in China and live with her and make a family in china. Now I am a student here and I have a X type which is valid for 5 years. I need to know is it possible for people like me who want to marry with a Chinese girl stay in china for ever? what should i do ?
