About:Shanghai Metro Ticket

Maglev Round Trip + Metro One-day Pass in Shanghai

I understand that the metro pass only lasts for 24 Hrs, but how long do I have to use the RETURN part of the MagLev ticket? Is it only 24Hr, or does it last a week (or something else)?

Hey, the term of validity would be tagged in the back of the ticket.
BTW, it is said that the validity is till the end of a year.

Thanks Steven, but (unfortunately) I don't have a ticket yet... I'm doing preliminary research from Australia before my journey to SH. We arrive late(ish) at night, so I want to be prepared. Does anyone know for sure what the rules are?

Don 't worry! You can ride local metro for unlimited times within 24h, but the ride on SMT/Maglev is not counted together with metro. As I know, the validity of the pass for SMT travel is long, even till end of the year when you buy the ticket.

Hi Alan (& Steven and anyone else with information...).
I have just noticed the following on another page on this site:

A Shanghai Maglev & Metro Pass is issued for the convenience of passengers who need to take both maglev and subway in the city in the same day. There are two types of pass:
1. Maglev Single Trip + Metro One-day Pass: It costs CNY 55 and allows passengers to take a single maglev trip (economy class) and unlimited subway rides within 24 hours;
2. Maglev Round Trip + Metro One-day Pass: It costs CNY 85 and contains a round-trip on maglev (economy class) and unlimited rides on the subway within 24 hours.
Please note that both versions of the Pass will be valid for 24 hours from the first use either at a maglev or subway station. Each card can be used by one passenger. Also, the pass should be used before the expiration date marked on it, otherwise it will automatically turn invalid.

This seems to indicate that the MagLev Return + 24 Subway pass is only valid for 24 hours for BOTH MagLev & Subway.

Does anyone know the precise rules for this ticket please????
