About:China Private Visit Visa

I am in China mainland under Student X Visa.

My girlfriend wants to visit me here on an S2 type but we haven't booked flights, so what can I write in the invitation letter for arrival and departure dates? We do have a time frame planned for about 7-10 days starting from 31st of January 2015. Is it accepted to have an estimated time of about 1 to 2 days and not a specific date?

Also, are flight ticket copies expected when applying?

Ali, are you married with your girlfriend? If not, I am afraid that you can't apply for the S2 type because you can't provide the marriage certificate. If you both are not married, you should apply for a L type to visit her. She can send you an invitation letter and copies of her passport information page and visa page. The air tickets are not required if you provide the invitation letter. So it's ok for you to write the estimated arrival date. And I think you need to provide specific dates.

No, we are not married. She's in Singapore and has already submitted her application. They told her she'll be considered under S2, so I'm a bit confused now. They asked her to comeback to get it in about 4 days. So I'll let you know if she gets there. Fingers crossed!
