About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

NEW York to Hong kong. Shanghai to NY. Do I qualify for the transit 72 hr visa?

Hi If I fly New York to Hong kong on United , stay 1 week then fly to Shanghai for 3 days on CA , then leave on United back to NY.

John, you are eligible for 72 hours free transit in Shanghai. However, you must ensure that the flights from HK to Shanghai and Shanghai to New York won't stop at any other Chinese cities.
