About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Am I eligible for the transit visa as long as I clear customs before the 72 hour period expires?

I am planning to fly Abu Dhabi to Beijing and would arrive at 9am. My departing flight to Seattle would be 3 days later, but at 530 in the evening.

Morgan, according to many other passengers, the 72 hours is actually counted from the 00:00 next day though Beijing airport hasn't issued any notice. I think you may contact Beijing Airport Immigration Inspection at 0086-10-56095400 and ask them for details.
