About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 hour visa for Shanghai

I have a ticket from Tokyo via South Korea to PVG, then 72 hours later a return flight from PVG to south Korea where i have a 12 hour layover and will pass customs and visit the city, then the remainder of the ticket is from South Korea back to Tokyo. Does this qualify for the 72 hour China free transit?

Since you will fly to PVG from South Korea and then back to South Korea, you are unable to enjoy the 72-hour free transit. Your trip will be regarded as a round trip.
If you fly from PVG to Tokyo, you can enjoy this policy.
