This will be a problem as we need to book our hotel, tour package etc. much sooner. What do we do? Also, will an invitation letter from my son who works and lives in China be acceptable for us to apply for it? He is on a talent type.Thank you.

You son's invitation letter will be a great help for your application. With the letter, it is not necessary to provide a round trip tickets and hotel booking in advance, but book them after you get permit.
