Can I get a tibet visit permit on arrival at Kunming airport?

How much does ít cost me by plane to Lhasa from Kungming?If I travel by train how is the service? What is the cost?How much time does ít take?Will 4 days be sufficient for me to see around Potela palace and come back to Kunming?

Palitha, it's almost impossible to acquire the Tibet Travel Permit because foreigners are not allowed to enter Tibet as individual travellers. They are required to join group tours arranged by quaflied tour agencies to visit Tibet.

The flight ticket costs around CNY 600 to 800 if you go there in December. There is no direct train from Kunming to Lhasa. You need to go to Chengdu for a transit and take train from there to Lhasa. The total train fares should be CNY 500 to 700. It takes around 43 hours from Chengdu to Lhasa. So it's impossible for you to take a train to vist Potala Palace in four days by train.
