Yes, in the airport, there are children play areas. The colourful children's play areas provide young passengers with a feast of fun during their stay at the airport. The areas are located at Between Gate 23 and 25, Departures Level, Terminal 1 and Between Gate 509 and 510, Departures Level, North Satellite Concourse. And there are Children TV’s Lounges near Gate 1, 15, 41 and 60, Departures Level, Terminal 1. You can take your kids to stay for couple hours. As for the price, I’m not sure for it varies in different time.

The quickest way to go to the downtown area is to take a taxi. If you take a taxi to the area aroung Tsim SHa Tsui, it may take 50 mins and cost hkd240 around.

In your case, I suggest you stay in the airport for the stopover, for you need to reach the airport at least 2.5 hours before the flight’s departure. Time is a bit tight.
